how important white cells in our body?what can i do if white cells not enough in my body?
Question:
Answers:
There are 3 types of blood cells:-
red blood cells
white blood cells
platelets
These three types of blood cells are mostly manufactured in the bone marrow.
Red blood cells (also called erythrocytes) are shaped like slightly indented, flattened disks. Red blood cells contain an iron-rich protein called hemoglobin. Blood gets its bright red color when hemoglobin in red blood cells picks up oxygen in the lungs.
White blood cells (also called leukocytes) are a key part of the body's system for defending itself against infection. They can move in and out of the bloodstream to reach affected tissues. The blood contains far fewer white blood cells than red cells, although the body can increase production of white blood cells to fight infection. They fight germs such as bacteria and viruses and may also attempt to destroy cells that have become infected or have changed into cancer cells.
Platelets (also called thrombocytes) are tiny oval-shaped cells made in the bone marrow. They help in the clotting process.
U asked what can happen when white blood cells are not enough.. 3 most known diseases:-
Neutropenia -occurs when there aren't enough of a certain type of white blood cell to protect the body against bacterial infections. People who take certain chemotherapy drugs to treat cancer may develop neutropenia.
HIV -a virus that attacks certain types of white blood cells (lymphocytes) that work to fight infection. Infection with the virus can result in AIDS leaving the body prone to infections and certain other diseases.
Leukemia -cancer of the cells that produce white blood cells.
It is good if you can visit a pharmacist and get advise on the right supplement to take to balance the white blood cells in your blood. Every case/person is unique - so there's no 1 supplement that should work for every person with blood cell disorder.
Good luck.
Other Answers:
white blood cells are very important as they help get rid of infections and if you get that illness again it is easier to get rid of it because of the white blood cells.
However, illnesses such as AIDS damage the white blood cells. You cannot do anything much about it I do not think.
White cells fight germs. See doctor for more details
Take a mushroom formula like Host Defense. It has been shown to clinically raise NK killer cell count by 300% without adverse side effects. In fact, it helps to stabilize energy levels if you are feeling low.
