Severe knee pain? What's the remedy?

Question:
I have severe knee pain, comes and goes. Spent hundreds of dollars in medicine, massage and doctors. Med. test shows no athritis and knee x-ray was normal. After that doctor told me this type of pain happens to every one. Is it true?

I have no other problem except back pain sometimes. Back feels better with a massage, but not the knee. It starts with knee then my whole leg feels like burning, painful enough to wake me up whole night, but I can walk.
Please let me know if you have any remedies for this type of pain?

Answers:
May be restless leg syndrome. They have meds you take at night for this.
lots of Advil
Wish I could help, I have the same problem. Hopefully you will get a good answer that will help us both.
Have you seen a chiropractor? I had knee pain once that got so bad the orthopedic suggested surgery. I went to a chiropractor and was told that my knee was hurting because my hip was rotated forward. He fixed my hip and now my knee doesn't hurt anymore.

And no, that type of pain doesn't happen to everyone. Doctors just say that when they can't figure out what the problem is. If you are feeling pain, there is a problem. Don't give up until you find the cause (sometimes there is no treatment). Having said that, also consider the possiblity that your pain is psychosomatic. When we ignore emotional pain, it comes out as physical pain. Just something to think about.
I will advise both of you to look for its cure in Homeopathy.
.my sis in law had same problem..she used ARNICA 200 and RHUSTOX 200.she is cured.
a few days ago I could not raise my arm. I took only Arnica 200 and I am so good now.
go to yahoo search for Homeopathy and find this natural way for your problem.good luck
what type of shoes do you wear? sounds like you may need a better shoe..with more support do your legs rock when you sit still?then you may have restless leg syndrome..but the simple answer is if you walk alot you need support if you stand alot maybe a boot take goodcare of your feet this could prevent the knee and back pain also
My Mom swears by those magnetic bracelets/anklets. My husband does too. Don't listen to the person who said "lots of Advil". Large amounts can cause kidney failure. Have you tried heat or ice? That may make a difference. Also, try some physical therapy to strengthen your knee. Good luck - pain sucks.
What kind of shoes are you wearing? Sometimes the wrong shoes can cause knee, hip and back pain. Try switching shoes first. The next thing is have you had an injury to your knee? Recent or in the past? Does your job have you standing or climbing stairs a lot? An MRI of your knee will tell you if you have a tear in a ligament or a tendon. I would see and orthaepedic surgeon and they can test you more also.

Also, have you hurt you back? That would explain the burning-sciatica. I hope this helps.
Hi there! Well, i just had minor knee surgery 2 weeks ago so that i can have a total hip replacement! Now the knee surgery was a breeze but i know the hip is gonna be a MF! I had to have the knee done (torn ligaments) so that when i have the hip surgery i am able to do rehab. They had me go have an MRI of my knee and i believe that is what you need to do. EVERYBODY DOES NOT HAVE THIS TYPE OF PAIN! In my case it all started with my back...i have severe scoliosis so last yr. i had to have 2 major back surgeries...they ended up fusing my lumber and i lost 2 inches in height! Well, i was doing physical therapy for my back when my left hip started hurting really bad and my right knee blew up like a ballon! So i go to this ortho dr. and they drained my knee(OUCH) with this big long *** needle! Then he said i needed a total hip replacement! I am only 47?????? Now, in my opinion is that when i lost those inches in height it threw my whole body out of whack! My hip or knee EVER hurt in my life until i started doing PT!! If i were you i would get to a knee SPECIALIST!! ASAP cause the longer you wait the worse it's gonna feel. I do have arthritis and severe scoliosis plus degenerative joint disease so i can't diagnosis you. Just to a good special est who can help out! GOOD LUCK and hang in there!
