i am a single mother of a 10 year old son who came home from school yesterday saying he had pain?

Question:
the pain is in his genitals i scheduled a appointment with his doc but she is a female plus her nurse said i have to be in the room because of his age i was wondering if there were any other moms who had this happen to them also can you tell me what to tell him to expect

Answers:
My son had a problem in the same area, he said it hurt more than enough to get over the embarrassment of dropping his trousers to show me..............I saw what it was and made an appt. like you and when the actual exam was being performed by doc I looked at the book shelf etc etc...........and TRUST me you want to be in the room 'just in case'............

Ask your son if he can describe the pain, and exactly where it is...........if it is in the ball bag area, maybe he would let you look and have him 'cup" the rest of his bits so you can look closely, dont touch of course but often you can clearly see a swelling etc etc.....tell him this is VERY much what the doc will do but she will touch to ensure.

you are a single mum [like me] and do not have a close male relative to turn to that you COMPLETELY trust..........I was lucky and did have this.............so if it was beyond me then I would double check etc etc with them.

I also got the leaflets on testicle cancer and got my son to check on a regular basis during his showers..........the rise for testicle cancer in YOUNG men is very very scary and for the want of a bit of embarrassment I would rather that then bury my son.

Good luck.
i don't have children im really sorry for u
