Uh, you definetly need a doctor, you probably cracked it.
You can break the tail bone, and it sounds like this is perhaps what you have done. The best thing to do is go to the doctor. You may have a bone chip or the swelling could add pressure to your nerves in the region causing the excessive pain.
I think you have to, excuse me if this is a bit graphic, stick your finger up your anuss and pull the tail bone back into position. I think it's easier if someone else, who knows what they're doing has a look at it for you, but you can't go past the advice and expertise of a doctor. Good Luck.
The therapy for a broken cocix is bed rest. You might also want to take anti inflammatories like ibuprofen 400 - 600mg for about a week every 6 hours or 8 (i don't remember). Mainly, just go easy and don't sit on it.
If it was three months ago and it still hurts now you should go to the doctor ASAP. Actually I would say go to the emergency room and have X-rays. It is probably cracked, fractured or even broken. So don't wait...go to the ER now if you can...put a pillow on the seast of your car to ease the pain and maybe take some tylenol to stop the pain for now...but definatley go to the emergency room and have them take a look. Hope I helped you and...good luck hon!!!
