I need a Dr who understands the use of predisone for muscule pain and is willing to write for me a 'script

My HMO has an informal ban on the use of prednisone. I currently have a prescription but I am fearful that it will not be renewed at the same strength and I need an additional 5 mg.per day. I expect that there are MD's who understand this usage of prednisone and I want to find the MD.

Answers:
Your doctor will decide if you need it or not... if you do need it for whatever time period & your HMO doesn't cover it, prednisone generic is really pretty cheap, just pay out of pocket.
Just because your insurance company doesn't pay for it doesn't mean that you can't have the drug.

call a physicians referral line and then choose the doctor you will feel comfortable with
