Sounds like GERD. See a doctor. In the meanwhile Prilosec should help.

Are you currently engaged in oral sex?
could it be heartburn- gastric reflux? i feel that way and have sharp chest pains due to gastric reflux and ulcers!
I have it sometimes. My doctor says it's acid reflux
If you're stressed out, you can get a feeling of something stuck in your throat, right where your collarbones meet.
My friend got this when we were at college together, and I thought she and the doc were nuts, till it happened to me.
It will go away, took me like 2 weeks though.
Swallow.............
Perhaps you should see a dr. It can be caused by numerous things. Possibly heartburn, but it could be thyroid also.
Wendy,
If this happens often,
it sounds like gastric reflux,
and you should see your
doctor asap. Even if it is
heartburn, it is worth the
visit, rather than medicating
yourself over-the-counter.
It worked for me.

This will sound terrible,
but it works -- standing, or
sitting down, try to burp as
much as possible. Again,
sounds bad, but it might
take some of the burning
sensation & discomfort
away.

Hope it helps.
It's probably clogged, get some drano, or boiling water and bleach.
there are a couple of reasons for that sensation It doesnt sound like acid reflux, with that there is a burnig sensation, it could be caused from lack of hydration a semi severe sore throat, also stress can tighten the muscles giving the feeling of a lump in your throat. I would try warm liquids in case of sore throat and for the hydration also cough drops will help, for the stress well evryone one gets to the point of ripping there hair out take a breath and relax. I am only a nursing student so if the symptoms get severe go to the doctors it could be an infection.
You "could" have a hiatal hernia.

However, it could be something else, such as GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) acid reflux where, um, the contents of the stomach come back a short ways up the esophogus, making it feel "uncomfortable." It could also be from anxiety or a number of other reasons. If this continues, or you have it for more than 3-4 days a week, see a doctor!

The sooner it is treated the better.
