ear ache connected to common cold?

Question:
I've had a cold for the last couple days and just now my left ear started to ache and feels clogged kind of. I'm assuming there's a connection there, should I see a doctor tomorrow or just wait it out? The only thing I can find on the internet is help for when kids get ear aches (and I'm 25 y/o).

Answers:
yes, I get those every now and then in "addition" to the cold.

If this is the first time it happened to you, and it doesn't get better like in a day or two, or gets worse, you should see a doctor.

What helps me is bringing more circulation to that area. Place your ear between index and middle finger and rub the area around your ear. Use something like massage oil, so that you don't rub your skin off.

When go to sleep - sleep on that side, with that ear on the pillow.

Maybe it's totally non-scientific, but it always helped me. Except for one severe case.

Other Answers:
YES! You should go to see ENT(ear-nose-throat) as ASAP.
Go see a doctor. You need an antibiotic. It is the same in kids and grown-ups. If the infection spreads from your throat to your ear, you need medication.
It is very common to get ear aches with a cold. The virus migrates through your eustachian tubes and into your ears. It can clear up on its own, but once the bugs have migrated, it makes it harder for your body to fight it off. Also, if it has moved into your ears, there's a good chance it has moved into your sinuses, as well.

I would go see a doctor. Regular colds are no big deal, but I know that ear infections don't clear up so easily. Your doctor can take a look and make sure that everything looks okay, and he or she may give you something to help with the pain, or even with the infection.
u should show to doctor
I have this problem every time I have a cold. Due to my experience, take decongestants (this is what the doctor remind me to do every time I go)...

Antibiotics are over prescribed and may not be the answer. They are for bacterial infections which this may not be.
