How can i numb the pain of my infected insect bite besides a hot towel and aspirin?

i am taking antibiotics and tylenol the doctor gave me but the pain is at times unbearable what can I do or take to make the pain go away the doctor said it might not be a bite but it is man infection any suggestions?

Cut an onion in half and put it on the area.

If you're in this much pain, you should try calling your doctor again and have them biopsy the bite. It could be something more serious and you may require stronger pain medication and a different antibiotic if it is not responding well to it. I hope you feel better soon!

(I would recommend something like advil because it helps keep inflamation down) Rotate that every 4-6 hours with tylenol (if it is just regular tylenol - not the one with codeine) - but be sure to drink lots of water and eat a snack with the advil as it can upset your stomach. Go to your drug store get first bite for Insect bite it kills the pain put some on bite hope it helps
