Has anyone had an appendicitis drained then was told they had to have it removed?

Question: About 6 weeks ago I was let out of the hospital after a two week stay. I was addmitted because my appendixe ruptured. They drained it and let me out ofter a two week stay. I was told I would need to come back in a few months to have it removed. I have had no pain or discomfort since it was drained and I have not had it removed yet. , but sometimes I can feel something in there and I am wondering if that could just be scar tissue or if it is getting inflamed again.
