What are good foods for those who suffer from acid reflux?

Question:
What are good 'FOODS' not medication.

Answers:
It is proven that baking soda ( as the above pal suggested) is not doing anything good. First you have to avoid some certain foods, on the top of the list are milk and diary products. It is good to be eaten apples, peaches ( not citrus fruits), bananas etc, oats, black bread, sesame oil make wonders when applied into the diet. Best of luck!
green apple/grannysmith apple

quickease, antacids, baking soda, gaviscon all don't seem to work for me but green apples do, and I am not an alternative person, I would take a medication that works

Crazy taxi has criticised my sugestion, you can tell by trying it yourself, try apples and compare it to her 1001 ingredients

the acid in your stomach is not simply from the acid in the food you eat, because your stomach produces acid, and also you are feeding a colony of bacteria in your gut, what you feed them influences what they produce.

I am on a type of diet like this. According to my doctor, this is what he tells me I should have. Anything bland, such as mashed potatoes (no butter or gravy of course), mac and cheese, cereal, boiled or baked chicken (not fried), pasta without any tomato sauce (I find I do not have a problem with alfredo sauce), fruits without acid content such as oranges, grapefruits, etc., vegetables such as peas, carrots, and green beans. He does not want me to eat salad, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, or brussel sprouts.

Kind of a sucky diet, but it does work. I have not had half the problems I used to have by changing my dietary habits.
not tomatos!
