can I exercise if I´m recovering from pneumonia?

Question:
I was released from the hospital, after four days, last Wednesday. I had been admitted with pneumonia (bacterial) and am now at home recovering. I was told that the process might take up to 4-6 weeks. I had asked about playing football (was told not to for at least 4 weeks), but forgot to ask about other activities: light exercises, stretching, abs, ...

Answers:
You should not do anything that strains you too much. Pneumonia makes you weak, and the best thing to do is, along with taking medicines is have plenty of rest.

However, you can always do gentle stretching for 10 minutes, twice a day or something. Just stop, as soon as you feel even slightly strained. This is not the time to think about keeping your body in shape. You can always get back to it once you are completely recovered.

Pneumonia can be very dangerous, so complete rest is recommended.
maybe you can. for a maximum of 30 minutes.

its best to ask your doctor.
Call your doctor and ask if it is OK. Your doctor know your condition better than all of us.
