Question about a letter received from a senator that we got involved regarding my moms SSI disability case?
Question:
She has already been before a judge twice, because her first judge died before we heard his decision. Anyway, today she got a letter in the mail that is from her Senator informing her that "according to the office of hearing and appeals, your claim is ready to be scheduled".
We are wondering what this means. We tried contacting her lawyer but he's out of the office for a while. It says her "claim is ready to be scheduled", so that can't mean that her courtdate is scheduled because we've already done that...twice! The letter is dated very recent, so we know it's not old or back logged mail. Can someone decipher that sentence?? Please!!!
Answers:
I looked up scheduled, many different meanings. One that may assist you is
schedule-- law a list of details, often in the form of an appendix to a legal or legislative document.
suggest you call the SSI offices and ask them.
