I have been having Heart Palpatations?

Question:
I suffer from Panic disorder and I have been having some palpatations. I have seen the dcotor and had EKG's, king monitor and an echo cardiogram. Everything came back normal. I usually get bad palpatations around my monthly cycle. He said I am so sensitive this. It is so scary when I go through them. Sometimes they last for up to a week. What else can I do to reduce these palpatations and I am a smoker also.

Answers:
Stop smoking, avoid sugar and caffeine. Theyre associated with panic attacks and are really caused by adrenoline and your diaphram clenching and restricting your rib cage.

I get them too from time to time, my mom did too, the doctors all told her she was fine and not to worry. Theyve never bother her, or me. Theyre just annoying.

Sugar, caffiene, SMOKING, stress, allowing yourself to enter into a panic attack (i know that sounds bizzar, but when you live with them long enough to find ways to not allow yourself to react that way), lack of sleep, gas, and a poor diet all make them much much worse.

stay healthy and active, eat whole grains, avoid coffee and soda, stop smoking for cripes sake.

I know its scary, ive had them for years. But the most of it honestly is in your head. You just think you're dying, but you're really not :)

Other Answers:
Stop smoking, and reduce or eliminate caffiene in your diet. Try to avoid any stimulants (diet pills, etc). Get enough sleep, and try not to get too stressed out.
Hope this helps!
I'm sure the smoking doesn't make it any better. Unfortunately when you have a panic attack you probably feel cold/tingly and have the racy heart and quite actually think you are going to die? Am I right or am I right? lol The racy heart is from your panic...your adrenaline pumping. As far as it being around your monthly...I dont know about that. What can you do about it? Other than asking your doctor for a stronger prescription I dont know. Discuss it with ur doctor.
There are several life changes that you can make to help yourself. STOP SMOKING. Cut out caffiene especially preceeding and during your period, since this is when you feel most affected. If you quit smoking you may be able to go on birth control pills which will decrease the hormone fluxuations. If the problem continues go to the ER when the palpiations are occuring so they can document the event.
Antidepessants such as Zoloft may help you.

Seeking counseling for your panic attacks and how to control them will also help.
