Cold first: Use ice bags wrapped in a light towel (like a dish towel) to reduce pain and inflammation. Keep that up for 24 to 48 hours after the injury. Then elevate the ankle (above your heart when you are lying down) and immobalize it in a splint or air-cast.

Support it by wrapping it, ice it, elevate it, take ibuprofen to help with the swelling. Call a doctor if it's unbearable.

I sprained my foot alot before lol.sorry I know the discomfort . I would soak my foot in cold water while watching tv just before I went to bet . During the day I had purchased fron the drug store a tensor band for ankles . This kept enough pressure on it during the day that was needed and allows you to wear your shoes with it as well instead of raping it with something bulky .

You should get a tenser bandage. Keep it wrapped as much as possible. Ice: 15 min on, 15 min off. Should use an ice pack or wrap up the ice so that it is not directly on the skin.

red dirt and vinegar. it works, I used to sprain my ankle alot when I was a teenager and my mom used to make mud by combining red dirt and vinegar. It stinks but it takes the soreness out of your ankle.
