was my doc out of order?

Question:
i took my 20 mth old son to his own gp yesterday morning and he diagnosed a head cold without sounding him etc later in the day my son got worse and i took him to local hospital, he has pnemonia in his left lung. i have had him back and forward to doc for about 3 weeks is he out of order?should he have spotted it? would it have saved my son all of this bother if he had?

Answers:
Getting it hard? What did he mean by that? I think you and your son were done wrong. I would be upset about it. Sounds like our GPs these days. They dont know what anything is, thats why theyre practioners, they practice on ppl everyday.

Im glad you took him to the hospital, and Im glad they caught it. I hope he gets to feeling better real soon.
Yes your pediatrician should've caught it. By listening to his lungs and sending him for a chest x-ray that day he could've made the diagnosis and begun treatment sooner. I would find another doc for your son.
