I am a typeII diabetic and i was wondering if there's anything that can be done for discoloring in the legs.

Question:
my legs are red and discolored

Answers:
It sounds like inflammation. take some aspirin if you are not allergic to it. Then please see a specialist in diabetes. Inflammation can cause all manner of bodily probblems & not only in your legs. Neglected type two diabetes can cause serious complications. That, in the worst case scenario, seriously shorten your life. (sometimes by decades). I remember a patient , a good fellow. who went into denial and eventually contracted terminal; congestive heart failure. he died five years later. Losing weight, 20 minute daily brisk walk and control of sugar intake and diet can work dramatic improvements. it has recently been reported that yoga breathing exercise can lower blood pressure which will help your diabetes. A type of slow, deep breathing; it consists of ten deep breaths and ten exhalations per minute They do not know why it works.
Also, one gram of powdered ciinimon a day works blood chemistry wonders. But quitting smoking and real weight loss work wonders.

Do you get ulcers on them too? I do. The discoloration is caused from poor circulation. you've probably also got Venus disease in your legs as well. The little pumps in your lower legs that help pump the blood back to your heart, are not working properly. This makes the blood pool in your legs. It actually seeps out of the blood vessels into the tissue, creating the dark red discoloration. To my knowledge, nothing can be done about it. Wearing compression hose helps to keep the blood from pooling by assisting the pumps move the blood.
