get stuffing removed?

Question:

i need to go back to E.R. on sunday to get the stuffing removed. i had a boil taken off there. How bad is it going to hurt? when they removed it, i was in a lot of pain cuz i felt everything..the scraping, the stuffing, obviously the lidocaine did not work...she worked to soon after. I am freaking out as the pain was bad and i am still feeling the effects of it the next day. does the hole heal properly?

Answers:
If you cannot get the patch that peppermint was talking about, although it should not be as bad this time--just removing the dressing--I would still tell them to make sure it is numb before they start working on you. There is no reason for that much pain--I'm surprised they did not stop and give you more lidocaine. Best of luck.
