It is a chromosomal defect characterized by the presence of one or more than the normal number of chromosomes. In humans the trisomic Cell contains 47 chromosomes.
Trisomy 13 is a congenital condition caused by the presence of an extra chromosome in the D group, predominantly chromosomes 13. Most infants with this condition, do not survive beyond 6 months
