How do I get my sleep pattern normal?

go to bed the same time EVERY night

get up at the same time every day, so go to bed at the same time every night, about 10 pm i would say to get enough sleep, do some exercise after you get home, have dinner, relax for a while, then an hour before bed, do some gentle yoga, take a warm bath, eat a snack if you feel it helps but nothing heavy, you might want a cup of cocoa if warm milk might help you sleep. dont do anything else in your bedroom but sleep if you can help it, make sure your bedroom is restful, darken the windows if you need to shut out any light, make sure your bed is comfortable, the room is a little on the cool side, your sheets are clean and smooth, your pillows just the way you like them , you might play really soft music, i use a meditation cd that i only play at bed time, in otherwords , you are totally setting the room up as a haven of rest. it may take you a little while to get things started but after a while it will be easier for you to fall asleep, make sure you do it on weekends too. you must train your body and brain to get into this pattern and you cant break it. if you have any troubles like itchy skin or anything make sure you put on plenty of lotion before you go to sleep, wishing you sweet dreams.
Try taking one hour before the time you want to fall asleep and just do nothing for the entiore hour. Don't watch tv, don't go online, don't talk with people. Getting rid of distractions helps clear your mind and let you sleep.
