any body ever had radial head replacement surgery?
Question:
Answers:
I have treated several patients with radial head replacements and they typically were back to functioning with the injured arm after 12 weeks of therapy. Obviously, the type of surgery and amount of immobilization are the biggest factors to beginning motion. The faster you begin to move the faster recovery is,but also talk to your Dr. about expectations of how much motion is expected because frequently after this surgery full extension is not achieved and often full supination is difficult also. Good luck and be sure to work with an Occupational Therapist specializing in upper extremity rehab.

radial head ? nope i didnt but as i know it takes two months as a maximum.
First of all it depends on how serious ur Radial head Damage was. was it completely fractured or just a simple fracture with or without dislocation. How old are you. Do u still work all these questions have to be answered and cosidered before going in for surgery if thats what u want in general if aint dislocated and its a simple fracture ur could actually have some physiotherapy and get along with( dont forget ur Painkillers) if its real bad do an xray of the elbow Joint. visit a traumatologist or an Orthop.surgeon. possible ways of treating it are with screws pins or outright replacment with radial prothetics they work if you have Good Docs over there. hope this helps ya
