how long should you wait between taking alleve and advill?
Question:
Answers:
Both Aleve and Advil are in the same class of drugs-- they are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. It doesn't make much sense to switch back and forth between the two. If you are taking the medication according to body weight and labeled dose, it would be ideal to wait twelve hourse between doses-- this allows for a "washout" period with the other drug. Also, take with plenty of water, because this class of drug can cause serious issues with the liver & kidneys.
Other Answers:
six to eight hours
If you take the aleve first, you should wait at least 8 hours.
i actually believe it is 4 hours
every 4 hours
depends on how much you take, 800mg for and adult is the MAX you want to take in an 8 hour time period.

I take them all the time in Rx strength after serious injuries at work. They recommend 4-6hrs, but if you be sure to eat something it will not upset your stomach as much. I've taken them a couple hours apart or sooner for extreme pain. The main worry is they can increase acid production and erode gastric lining. If you have an antacid of some kind, take it with that and you'll be ok. The warnings on the labels are the extremes mostlt for manufactuers liability protection. If you take aceteminophen (Tylenol), 4000mg in 24 hr period is the most. It can harm your liver more easily than some NSAIDS can.
