I have been considering joining a gym, can anyone help? Please read additional details below?


Question:
I live in West London and am considering joining a Gym/Fitness club in or around the Ealing area. I do not want to be tied down to a twelve month contract, as I might get fed up after a few months. I work for the underground so this may entitle me to a discount, I don't know. I do not really want to pay a fortune either :S

Private Gym Clubs are a rip off, see the 'Office of Fair Trading - guidance on unfair terms in health and fitness club agreements'. My son got ripped off by FITNESS FIRST who mis-sold him a contract, basically he was given no alternative contracts and lied to by staff. If I was you I would see if there are any local council authority gym clubs nearby, within swimming pools etc. I know loads of people who regret signing up for these things. DON'T DO IT
