are bad stomach pains normal at start of period?

Question:
i am worried that my girlfriends period pain is more to do with a out of tube pregnancy if that makes any sense, she is having more pain than the normal period pain and it stops her sleeping at night.should i be concerned if anyone can shed some light before i take her to a doctor that will no doubt tell her it is nothing to worrie about ,cheers

Answers:
Not every period is the same, some can be mild some can be extremely painful. Is the pain actually linked to the period or has she had the pain prior or following a period, if she is in so much pain it is always far better to see a doctor to rule out anything else. I would not worry at this stage, but should it get worse or continue for another day, see the doc. Give your girlfriend some painkillers, Ibuprofen are the best for period pain, paracetamol can also be taken. Hope she goes on okay.
No I can't sleep at night it wakes me up but minehave always been like that. It is unbearable sometimes. But go to the doctors just to check
