Oh and while you're at it, stop breathing too. It's really really bad for you.
We stopped after I noticed that my kids always got diarrhea and upset stomaches after chewing it!!!

Thanks!
thanks for the tip! i suppose you cant win! if u chew regular gum the sugar is bad for your teeth and if you chew sugar free its bad for your stomach! absolutely pointless.
oh really i have been chewing it all the time since i gave up smoking on 1st Jan. Cheers
It's only damaging to you if you chew several pieces of gum a day every single day. It gives you the runs, but's that about it. or so I've heard.
nope
funny you should share this because the other day i was given samples of sugar free gum and come to find out if you chew more than one piece at a time it'll react like a laxative. So I threw it out after chewing it for 15 minutes and sure enuf i used the toilet. The funny part of this is I gave many samples out to our boss.....
I always do, stops the hunger!
All chewing gum damages your stomach, it thinks your eatting something so it produces an acid, but as nothing goes down to your stomach the acid damages the lining.
Sugar Free chewing gum tastes so bad i say do not eat it :)

And to a previous answer read the packet to most chewing gums and mints, nearly all of them can be used as laxitives, but that is in very very large quanitiies !!!
i used to chew gum but no anymore and i found out i can't have sugar and the sugar-free gum didn't taste nice at all.

i think about something with food, no sugar no taste. lol
Yes, but not very much...Thanks for the heads-up on the sorbitol.
Thanks dude!
All artificial sweeteners are not good for the body, especially aspartame which turns into formaldehyde. I would steer clear of any foods or beverages that contain these sweeteners. Serious illnesses can occur from ingesting them. Health food stores sell gum that is good for you.
I have chewed it for yrs and the only thing sorbitol does is give a laxative effect
