What is the cause of numbness involving just the right hand and forearm, similar to it falling asleep?

Question:
It can happen at anytime, and if I shake my arm it "comes back to life". It involves only the right arm/hand.

Answers:
Your nerve is being pinched. My doctor told me it all has to do with posture. If you slouch and don't keep your shoulders back and back straight, it pinches the nerves going into your arms.

Other Answers:
This occurs often with people who have low blood pressure, they often lose feeling in their extremeties. See your doctor.
Possibly carpel tunnel syndrome but I would ask doctor!
could be a nerve thing there are simple tests that your doc can do ...i would see one
Numbness on one side of the body is often a sign of a stroke, but if your arm/hand returns to normal after you shake it, it really can't be a stroke - you wouldn't be able to shake it back to life if that were so.

I wouldn't be too worried about it...but if it starts to increase in frequency or starts disrupting your daily life, I would see a doctor, because I suppose it could be some strange neurological condition.
it's probably stress in your neck causing your arm and forearm to ache
GO to a Masseuse!
Could be one of the symptoms of a developing diabetes.
