Is there a government funded health insurance program for retired Massachusetts town employees?

Question: Husband is retireing from small town in Berkshire County. Not old enough for Medicare. Need affordable health insurance for self & spouse. Will be doing a lot of travelling in US.

Not sure about the funded health insurance for retirees.. but blue cross blue shield has great temporary (6 months) coverage. For me it was about 80/month.

I use AmeriPlan for supplemental. You should check out their services. Covers medical, dental, vision.whole nine yards. A lot better than regular insurance.
