is Versed really that crazy?

my brother was getting prepped for surgey on his knee last night and he was pretty nervous so the docs game him versed. withing seconds he started acting nuts, talking about random nonsense, his head bobbing all over the place, all the while giggling like an idiot. was he putting on a show or is this stuff that potent? and how does it work?

versed is used primarily in a hospital setting only b/c of how strong it is. it's designed to calm a patient who is being combative,confused, agitated,or to prep them for surgery

just like any other medication-some people can have adverse reactions to versed, meaning that is does the opposite of what it is meant to do in that patient.

your brother should have calmed down and more than likely gone to sleep, but b/c his body didnt interact well with the medication-he started behaving opposite of what he should have.

this isn't considered an allergy but an intolerance-his medical chart should be noted for what kind of reaction he had to it and he shouldn't be given the medication again in the future

its very hard to say if hes putting on an act or not since ive never heard of the stuff, but everyone reacts differently to drugs.
