Does anyone experience side heel pain?

Question:
I had plantar fasachia on my right foot. This has healed but now have extreme sharp pain on the side of my right heal. Still cannot put full pressure and am very frustrated as to the cause. Foot Doctor has given injections but the pain is still there. Any one has this or has had this pain in the past? What did you do for it? Thanks for your help. Next step is an MRI of my foot.

Answers:
The only thing I can think of is a heel spur. They can occur on the bottom of the feet as well as the back and side. I think an MRI is your best bet. I had major foot problems in my left foot for 4 years and took care of it over a year ago. Don't let it go too long. You depend on your feet to get you from point A to point B. GOOD LUCK!!

I was going to ask you about plantar fasachia - but sounds like that's already being considered.

I've dealt with that before and you have my sympathy's.
I wouldn't wish that pain to a monkey on a rock!

How I dealt with my pain was I bought some new shoes. Something with a very slight heel. Made all the difference in the world. I went from crippled to back on the run.

Good Luck and hope it starts feeling better soon!

I had plantar faciitis too, and boy is it painful! Did they give you any stretching exercises to do? A good one is to take a towel and hold it by the corners and kind of roll it up. Stick this on the ball of your feet and slowly stretch your toes toward your head. You will feel it really pull. Hold for a few seconds then repeat 4 or 5 times until you get a really good stretch. I noticed it always came back right after I had been picking up my grandkids. I had to quit picking up the older ones. When it got really bad, I had to stay off my foot for about 2 days. Ice also helps. Good luck and hope you feel better soon. you may have a hip or knee displacement causing you to walk out of alignment,
