there is a good chance all places dont clean there needles very good. that is a very big risk you should look into that.
If you go to a clean shop that takes care of their equipement and uses proper sterilization techniques your chances of infection are about the same as any other time you break your skin. Find a good shop that you can get referrals from. Watch the practices they use and if at any time you question the sanitary state of any of their equipment get up and walk out. Finally, follow the instructioins they give you closely as it will limit your chances of infection.
