what medication can I use to Flush out a 12mm kidney stone without going for surgery?

Question:

Answers:
Fortunately, surgery is not usually necessary, but 12 mm is a big stone so it could be possible. Most kidney stones can pass through the urinary system with plenty of water (2 to 3 quarts a day) to help move the stone along. Often, you can stay home during this process, drinking fluids and taking pain medication as needed. The doctor usually asks you to save the passed stone(s) for testing. The most common medical treatment is extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). This uses sound waves to break a kidney stone into small pieces. The bits can pass out of your body in your urine. Other times, a doctor will need to remove the stone or place a small metal tube in the ureter to keep it open while stones pass.

Other Answers:
none drink lots of water, meds don't help but a 12 mm stone unlikely to pass on its own. good luck
I don't think so that there is a medicine that you can take on ur own. Consult ur doctor. But there are technics which can remove kidney stone without a surgery
There isn't any kind of over the counter meds for that you have to get surgery or ask your doctor they may know some prescribed drugs.
Drink tons & tons & tons of water.Good Luck!
TWELVE millimeters? I know of someone who had one that was FOUR millimeters long and they had to go in and get it. When it gets down low, there's a sharp curve in your urethra that makes it hard to pass stones that big.

Ask your doctor though. Good luck.
There is a way to shatter the kidney stone by ultrasound. That doens't need intrusive surgery. Ask your doctor about it..
Drink lots of beer. believe it or not, it helps!
Wow, I don't know about medication. My husbands doctor just told him water, water, water.

Hope you feel better soon!
see your doctor, as they very rarely opperate on kidney stones now, they give a medication that desolves them, but still schould only be done under medical supervision
Being the Queen of Kidney stones I must tell you that you probably won't pass a 12mm kidney stone. My urologist won't allow anyone to try and pass anything over 10mm. I have survived 11 lithotrypsies and the passing of 5 other stones in one year. Best thing to do is to drink plenty of NON-Caffienated drinks and no soda. Push up to a gallon of water a day to keep the bacteria from collecting in the bladder while the stone is flying around scratching and cutting up the kidneys, ureters and bladder. I know that there is a diet to adhere to for certain types of stones so be sure and have that stone analyzed so you know what to do.
