What are the signs for food poisoning? And what do you do for it?
Question:

From wikipedia:
Symptoms typically begin several hours after ingestion and depending on the agent involved, can include one or more of the following: nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, headache or tiredness. In most cases the body is able to permanently recover after a short period of acute discomfort and illness. However, foodborne illness can result in permanent health problems or even death, especially in babies, pregnant women (and their fetuses), elderly people, sick people and others with weak immune systems. Similarly, people with liver disease are especially susceptible to infections from Vibrio vulnificus, which can be found in oysters.

Pukes, runs, fever, fatigue, abdominal cramping - the best course of action is plenty of water and keep soda crackers down if you can - and let it run its course - you want to pass as soon as possible - up or down - just get it out! Not very encouraging, but the best course - a Tylenol would help with the discomfort - the fever actually allows it to burn it up - you don't want to stop the pukes or the runs because that's your body eliminating it - but you do want to stay plenty hydrated - so keep water and soda crackers down if at all possible and if not - at least it gives you something to bring up - drinking jello before it jells is also a great source of soothing the stomach - so is an antacid - this helps keep some of the bile burning down as you have the pukes. If the fever reaches more than 4 degrees above normal, it would be best to seek ER care and let them speed the process rapidly so that you can get over it faster. Good luck - sorry it's hit your household!
