If you had no way out of a medical condition, would you continue going to hospital when u r sick of hospitals?

Question:
I have lived 43yrs with a medical condition that progressively destroys lungs and organs and KILLS a person young. One cant breathe well and lung capacity diminishes rather quickly. Though my lungs r now at 70% lung function capacity. And not cured for there is no cure other than lengthy hospital stays, endless I.V.antibiotic therapy, hundreds of needle pokings for blood samples and more that hospitals &docs do to keep you under control and reduce the speed of your death by CF. YET STILL ILL end up back in hospital many times per yr
Its like COPD but lot worse because it affects the pancreas and sinus & other.
I am so tired of the hospital routine, last year left me temporarily with diabetes from one medication. I am afraid of medications now and of hospitals and dont want to go to them.
Again this yr, the CF nurse wants me to get admitted. I dont. I just want to take oral antibiotics and pray. I want to pray that God heals me for my faith and never go again to hospitals.

Answers:
I'm as sick of hospitals as you are I think. I have had diabetes for 39 years with complications like heart attacks and amputations. I also have intractable epilepsy, which means medications don't help. I go because I have to. I pray every night and every day for guidance and help to cope with life and myself. I still make it through every day. Good luck and I'll pray for you.

that is such a tough question, I do not honestly know how to answer it, as I have never been in your shoes. i will pray for you though.

This by far is your choice. If it was up to me I can't honestly say what to do or what I would do.I do know IV antibiotics are stronger and work better than oral. Also the medications that help control your disease are bound to cause other issues like diabetes.I have a friend with lupus who is also dealing with this everyday.Chances are the continued medical treatment will prolong your life but again its solely up to you.I hope this is a decision based more on quality of life vs. giving up.Best of luck to you and I hope you find the peace you are looking for.
