Shampoo residue remains on the outside of the hair shaft , while the test will be focused on the inside of the hair shaft. You might try shaving your head? of course i'd do it if the job was worth it.

Nope, and not only that, but you can detect opiates in hair for up to 90 months after use. Shaving your head might work, as long as they didn't know you had hair before you found out you were about to be testing (suspicious). I'd shave your pubic hair, in that case, as well. That might force them to do a urine test, and if you've been off the junk for a month by then, it will be undetectable.

The hair holds a record of chemicals in the body for the entire duration of it's growth. (Closest to the scalp is the most recent) If your hair is 6" long. you have a record of chemical changes in the body from 2004. Shampoos cannot alter this and any attempts to tamper with a drug test by using adulterants can end up with the same results as testing positive.

looks like your screwed. You cannot hide the fact that you are doing drugs in a hair test. Good luck in a month the drugs will be out of your blood and uring but still in your hair unless you shave it all off.

I doubt it. I think it might do you harm to count on it. Better to tell them the truth and that you have stopped. Or get caught out and don't even get a chance to get the job, at least you stand a chance if you say something about pain meds and that you quit a month ago.

I'm sorry but that is the entire reason why so many companies are using hair tests now they are more costly but they can not be fooled and in the end they are more effective.

The opium will be contained in the hair itself as a part of its structure. Therefore, the answer is absolutely not, there will be no way to mask it but to shave your head completely bald. Sorry
