Hit my head on Thursday, the same spot that I did one week ago, left side temple area.?

Question: I have had 1 severe smack to the forehead from the steering wheel in an auto accident in July 2004, prior to that I had a 7.5 lb meat hook drop and break my hard hat back in Summer 95. No real problems with any other head trauma in the past. Most of the times if I had any symptoms it just got better with the days, but this last week I have been very tired and not with, since I hit the same spot. I am normally very active and maybe because I am older now it takes longer to heel????? what do you think.

i would follow up with the neurologist you were assigned to when you had the accident (if you were indeed assigned to one and if he is still available) otherwise-i would make an appt with your regular dr since you might have possible re-injured that part of your brain. bruises take a very long time to heal, especially ones to the brain and yes, age can make the healing process slower.

the fact that you say you have been more confused and more tired worries me that you might have a slight concussion-these are dangerous no matter how severe or non-severe they are and you should be checked within 24 hours.
