i would follow up with the neurologist you were assigned to when you had the accident (if you were indeed assigned to one and if he is still available) otherwise-i would make an appt with your regular dr since you might have possible re-injured that part of your brain. bruises take a very long time to heal, especially ones to the brain and yes, age can make the healing process slower.
the fact that you say you have been more confused and more tired worries me that you might have a slight concussion-these are dangerous no matter how severe or non-severe they are and you should be checked within 24 hours.
