Yes, mine have itched for twenty years now! Here's a link to read the reason. BTW, heat makes them itch worse so be careful in the sun.

I don't know if it is common, but I had surgery on my thigh and it itched once in a while for about 6 years. It also bruised easily, too. I have always believed that I never let it heal properly and was too active on it.the incision went into the muscle tissue.
