know anything about staph infections and how to get rid of the boil like bumps because of them?

Question:
doc put me on antibiotics, but the boil isn't going away. given time, they eventually go away, but I would like to keep them away for the rest of my life.

Answers:
It takes 5-7 days before you can see the results of your antibiotics. it's because it takes an average of 4 doses of the drug to reach therapeutic levels. plus the fact that, it is difficult to maintain optimum drug concentration inside an abscess (such as a boil); such that when it is really large, your doctor have to drain it.

Staphylococcus (species: aureus, epidermidis, saprophyticus)bacteria is part of the normal flora of the skin. It's really impossible for you to get rid of the organisms for the rest of your life. however, you can prevent them from infecting your skin by maintaining bodily hygiene and adequate nutrition.

Other Answers:
Put a hot rag on it and let it sit eventually it will come to a head and you can pop it like a zit! Sounds gross but if that doesn't work find someplace that sells Watkins Drawing Sauve. It will pull all of the crap out of there in no time. Worked for me.
Best bet is to lance it if you want it gone quick. Take a straight razor or pin or something and puncture it. Then use a hot rag to get at the infection. A friend of mine has really bad boils and blisters from allergies and has to do this alot. It works quickly though.
