You don't. Just put them in. I have toric lenses they will align themselves. They are weighted the weighted part will slide to the bottom on its own. No worries.
Those marks are tiny weights that will get the lense adjusted correctly on the eye once you put it in. Put it in as you would a normal one. It may take an hour of attempting it before you get it right. I have to look straight at it instead of up or down.
