My daughter was completly potty trained at age 2 then she developed MRSA. She had multiple surg.on her leg?

Question:
and was in the hosp. for six weeks. She is four now and I can't get her potty trained. The dr. keeps telling me to ignore it but she goes to preschool and she never comes home in the same clothes I sent her in. What can I do? Any sug.??

Answers:
It is not uncommon for children in preschool to have accidents. They are so distracted and paying attention to what is going on around them that they ignore or don't notice the signals that there body is telling them. Just be sure she gets plenty of opportunity before school and during breaks at school to go potty and not stress too much about this. If she is shy or anxious at school or afraid to tell the teacher when she needs a potty break, this will also lead to frequent accidents.

Other Answers:
Get her some pull-ups and let her body strengthen itself. quit trying to force her to do something that she is unable to do. They even have pull-ups for older kids so this time listen to your dr.
