I have a rash. Consist of 2lines on my side. They are 1/16 of an inch wide x 3 inches long. Super itchy. HELP?

Question:
I slept on a blanket at a house we rented last weekend. The blanket was provided by the house. I woke up on Sunday morning and have two rashes on my side. They actually look like cuts that are almost healed. But they are two rashes, each about three inches long by 1/16 of an inch wide. They are itchy does anyone know what they are. Also, how I can get them to go away and stop itching? Please help and thank you in advance.

Answers:
Go see the doctor. It could be poison ivy or oak, or it could be shingles which are caused by the chicken pox virus that stays in your body. If you are under stress, the virus can resurface as shingles.

Other Answers:
you could get cortaid or calimine lotion to stop the itching. if it does itch, and you said they almost look like cuts it means the wounds are healing. you might want to go to a doctor for more information. it could be hives, ask the household what the blanket was made of. feel better!

you might want to see a doctor. Hmm.have you looked into Shingles? Basically, the adult version of the chickenpox, and it's usually on one of side of the body, in line-like shapes. It can be contracted through touch. Just a guess based on the info you provided.

Benadryl cream for the itch..

If it just itches and it hasn't grown I'd suggest you cover the rash with a band-aid to prevent yourself from scratching it open and bear with the itch. Go to the doctor when it doesn't go away in a few days or when the rash starts to look worse or grow.

common sense I had the same rashes, went to the doctor, paid a fortune for the visit, to be told I had touched something. Buy anti itch cream and it will go away. Take a shower and change your clothes.
