My docter said I could swim with my cam. walker(which I have have for the second time). Should I?

Question:
I am going to Lake of the Ozarks next week for vacation, and that trip will involve lots of water. Not only is it LAKE of the Ozarks, it also has a pool at the place we are staying. My doc says I can take off the cam. walker and swim (not tube) because I know my own pain. The question is, if this were you, what would you do? Any advice would help!

P.S. It might help to knoe the injury:

I broke my fifth menisula. I really don't know how you spell that, so I apologize. It is a bone in the foot.

Answers:
Yes, you can (especially as you have clearance from your doc)
Getting the soft parts of those cam walkers wet can make 'em smell kind of funky!
Besides, swimming is great exercise & should let you move your ankle without having to put weight on the foot. And I think the word is metatarsal ; )
have fun!

Other Answers:
If the doctor said yes, then you should be fine to. Knowing the Lake of the Ozarks, the water is often muddy and cloudy, so be very careful when walking in the water, such as getting in and out of the lake. If your foot starts to hurt, take it easy, don't keep trying to do more. Also, if it is sore at all afterwards, I would ice it after you are done.
I hope that you have a great time! looks like you've already got your information.
