Stiffness and contracting right middle finger....?

Question:
For the last week, I have had this involuntary small spasms in the right middle finger that makes is feel stiff and curl a little. Anyone know what this may be and what it is caused by? It is starting to hurt a little now that is has been doing it all week.

Answers:
You did not mention your age, but I suspect either a muscle injury like carpel tunnel(repetetive motion injury) or a minor sprain.
The other idea was gout, although most common in your feet, gout can affect your hands too. To try an experiment to see if its gout or similar problem, try drinking 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a little juice 3 times a day for two or three days and see if it helps. The vinegar will reduce the amount of uric acid in your body, the biggest cause of gout and other arthritic problems. If this works, you may want to adjust your diet, bacause the food you eat is the cause of excess uric acid. Punch up GOUT on your browser and you'll see lists of good and bad foods for gout. Another idea is to take 3 heavy duty ibuprofen 3 time a day for 2 or 3 days. They are an anti inflamitory and painkiller , should help. good luck.
Try taking some Ibuprofen. Yo have have strained the muscles in your whole hand unknowingly.
