When u get a shot why are they so cruel with the needle?

Question:
I got a tetanus shot today and the nurse just jabbed the needle in. Why can't they slow down and go easy with it. Dam it hurts bad now.

Answers:
If you think that hurts, imagine a nurse jabbing a needle into your foot right next to a deep, open wound?

I like to call it the, very painful, numbing shot.

Other Answers:
now tell the truth, if you were givign someone a needle how woudl you do it!?

Just look away maybe the nurse was having a bad day :(

it might not be the kind of shot where they need to put the needle in an exact place, so maybe she was just trying to get it done with really fast.

They don't have time, neither do they care if they hurt you or not. If it bothers you that bad ask for a different nurse or a diabetic needle next time. O and by the way tetanus shots are supposed to make your muscles hurt. I think tetanus shot's require a bigger needle than most other shots and the best way to do it is really fast. If they did it easier is would hurt longer. It's the same as pulling off a bandaide.

If they go slow you may move away and get cut. My 12 yo daughter has gotten 3 shots a week for for the past 9 years, so be thankful you only got one.

Think about it. a painfully pointy needle going in reeeeeallly slow.
