will proactiv help with my acne from PCOS?

Question:
for the past 2 months or so, my face has been breaking out along my chin and hair line. i wash my face daily.so i was thinking about trying proactiv. i have pcos, and of course, it causes acne. i dont know what to do!

Answers:
Proactiv works great, but it is over the counter medicine. You should see about going to the dermatologist. Maybe the doctor that diagnosed your PCOS would refer you to them. They can prescribe stuff that's stronger, like Retin A.

proactiv was good for me maybe you should try it

try proactiv or go to a doc and get a stronger prescription don't just stick to face products , go for the cause, healing of the internal system is more important, take some good blood purifier, try Ayurvedic medicine like Gandhak tablets for that..

A lot of people have not had much luck with Proactiv, but it's worth a try.

I use the Clear Skin Regimen at http://www.acne.org. It's a non-profit (so it's free), the guy who created used to suffer from pimples himself. The system works wonders on my face, and its helped countless other people. The best part is that you don't have to order or buy any expensive treatments, everything you need for the Regimen can be found at your local drugstore. Find out more at the website.

In general, for clear skin it helps if you: don't touch/pick at your skin, drink lots of water, wash your hair frequently, change your pillowcases, exercise, wear little make-up (or if needed, hypo-allergenic makeup), and minimize stress.

Another tip is to look up online consumer reviews of acne products before you buy them, using sites like epinions.com or drugstore.com. A great website I use to get cosmetic reviews is makeupalley.com (A mostly women's site). Hope this helps!
