I have this problem. I found it was due to work stress. I finally told off the person that was the major source of the stress and that helped a lot. Still happens occasionally. Avoid alcohol and caffeine before bed. Keep track of what is happening during your days that you are up at night vs nights you sleep better see if there is a common denominator.
Are you stressed out? Do you take naps during the day? It's hard to answer without more detail. There are a multitude of possibilities.
