Is it safe for my baby or are there some precautions I can take.
Please advise me as I am really worried.

Answers:
you cannot catch aids buy using things after someone but just be careful that he is not cut anywhere and your baby does not cut himself anywhere because you dont want your friends blood and your babys cut..

Other Answers:
Talk to him about his disease and your concerns. I'm sure that he will answer your questions. You can always search the internet for advice and also ask you doctor for advice.
Your could only catch HIV from this person via direct blood to blood contact or through sexual activity so your baby is safe.
being a mother i understand ur concerns but u can only catch aids from blood or bodily fluids so u should b pretty safe but on the other hand if i was in ur situation i would not hav them living there as the concerns for my child would b to great
I should have thought that you would have gone into all the pros and cons before letting this person stay with you. Seek professional advice from a Doctor to see if your baby will be safe.
You can only catch it from unprotected sex or if they have a cut or something like that make sure everything is clean all the time. Is this person staying with you for long?

I hope all ok good luck
AIDS can only be transmitted through.
1. Sex (exchange of bodily fluids)
2. Blood Transfusion
3. Sharing of needles
4. From mother to offspring during pregnancy.
Yes it is safe for your baby.

Your baby might catch a cold if the person has a cold but it will DEFINITELY not get the HIV virus from any sort of day to day contact.

It's understandable you are worried, but unless your guest cuts himself, your child is in no danger. Many people with AIDS are raising their own children whose status is HIV negative and the children are at no added risk.
Your baby is safe from AIDS provided there is no body fluid exchange; however, there are other illnesses a compromised immune system can easily pick up and transmit. One that comes to mind is TB. It is probably best to speak with your doctor and your baby's pediatrician for more detailed information about the risks involved. All the best to all of you.
As long as the sick person doesn't spit, bleed, or urinate on the baby, things should be just fine. If you are worried, just suggest that he not pick up the baby until he is over whatever virus he has that is making him cough since you don't want a sick baby as well. aids is actually quite hard to spread, andis not airborne
