If you are overweight( not being rude, or funny), it would be beneificial to lose the extra weight. If that's not you then try the over the counter strips that open your nasal cavity while sleeping. You can buy them in any drug store. Try not to have a meal(even a snack) 2-3 hrs. befor you go to bed. If all else fails consult your doctor.:) Good luck and sleep tight.
pls take procold or any anticold drugs
sew something like a ping pong ball on the back of your pjs, it will prevent you from lying on your back and this is the position in which you are most likely to snore. It really works!
1. Peppermint oil - on a rag near the snorer's head.
2. Get the snorer checked for gluten allergies (wheat, oats, rye and barley).
3. Lose weight?
Once he did those first two things, my husband's snoring improved so much, that I did not insist he be checked for sleep apnea. The breathe right strips helped a bit, but not all that much, and they are expensive. He does not use them now.
Most chronic snoring is caused by excess tissue at the back of the throat, and the muscles in your throat tend to keep it out of the way. But when you sleep, those muscles relax and the tissues 'fall' into your airway. Those tissues, flapping around while you breathe, cause snoring.
The very first thing to do is to consult a physician. If you snore loudly, it's also possible that you suffer from Sleep Apnea, which can be a deleterious condition with long term cardiac implications. If you do have Sleep Apnea, you may be prescribed a Continuous Positive Air Pressure device (called a CPAP) which you wear while you sleep. It uses a constant stream of air to keep the tissues out of the way. Another alternative is Laser Assisted Uvuloplasty, in which the excess tissues are burned away with a laser. These treatments, however, are not 100% and are only indicated for people whose snoring presents a real health risk and who suffer from Sleep Apnea.
Other ways to decrease, if not eliminate snoring:
Avoid alcohol. It tends to relax those tissues even more and increase snoring.
Learn to sleep on your side. Sleeping on your back or stomach allows the tissues to close off your airway and makes snoring louder and worse.
Lose weight (if you are overweight). Remember, snoring is caused by excess tissue in the back of your throat. Fatty deposits can cause snoring.
Clothes pins, nasal strips, etc. only work for a small minority of snorers. Get checked out by a competent physician and see which method works best for you.
ask the doctors, the snoring is a sign of deep sleep , is not very good to stop it by any drug mean, it's just that people complain of snoring when is noisy but i bet you rather leave it or you may have some sid effect of the drugs after
pls take procold or any anticold drugs
