My boyfriend never had the chicken pox?

The first question is how sure are you he never had chicken pox? Some people can have really mild cases and not know it. If he is going to get the vaccine he should get a blood test first to see what his titers are in his blood for varicella and then if these are low, or he doesn't have them, I would recommend the vaccine as it is usually bad when adults get chicken pox and sometimes even deadly from secondary infections that come with it. Hope this helps

I have never had it either and I am 24. I was vaccinated as a child. I do not think it is needed now. He just needs to stay away from anyone who has them.

there is a vaccine available now, that sthe best way to keep the disease.
its a known fact that chicken pox at an older age is known to cause a lot of problems. while at an younger age group ots more benign vaccine will be better coz chicken pox in Adults its sever the consecuences can be fatal for Adults unlike for kids.
