a sty is a higly contagious bacterial infection if you rub it and touch someone they can get it i suggest going to your dr and getting treated for it as far as how you got it it can be airborne or someone passed it on to you feel better soon
A stye is a small inflammatory tumor of the nature of a boil, which exposes itself near the free edge of the eyelids, particularly near the inner angle of the eye. The germs, usually staphylococci, grow in the oil or sweat glands of the eyelid. The inflammation surfaces at the margin of the lid as a tender, red swelling. It is attended with some fever or more or less suffering. Within a few days, the styes comes to a head and then opens to let pus drain.
Stys are just that........... a pimple that is formed in the pore at the base of an eyelash. Putting a hot wet washcloth on it and letting it "soak" makes it so that it will draw out faster. When I was younger, I got them ALL the time......... usually in the right eye but sometimes the left. I didnt get to miss school like I wanted to, because they arent contagious. Once I found THAT out, I wasnt allowed to miss school anymore.
dont know, all i know is i get em too
