Do the Cardiologist have to do specialization?.
Question:
Answers:
Cardiologists must specialize in their field! They complete a "regular" residency as part of medical school, then further "residency" in their chosen speciality. There's even further specialization if they choose to become "cardiac interventionist" (meaning the ones to perform coronary interventions ie: PTCA/stenting/arthrectomies/ro. procedures, etc).
Other Answers:
There is a fellowship program that is required for that sort of specialty
similar to pediatricians Cardiologists are internists, (have done a full medical residency,) then do a fellowship that lasts from 5 to 7 years.
