you may need to wear hypoalergedic earrings, you have sensitive ear lobes majority of people have the same problem.
wait till it heals then get it repierced,if the other one is fine keep a stud in it so it won't close as well,when you get your other ear repierced put the matching one in,but wear hypoalergedic ones
get them right at a shoppers drug mart store.
use alcohol to the infected area and soak the earrings in peroxide as well .

Swelling is a sign of infection.

See your doctor immediately if this persists for more than 72 hours, especially if it does not respond to ice.
